Thank you for using Bible Focus. We respect your privacy.

This policy explains "the real rules" of how we handle your data. Because our app combines Productivity Tools (timers) with Gamification (virtual garden), we collect specific data to make these features work.

The Short Version: We don't sell your data. We primarily store data to save your garden progress and track your focus history.

2. Information We Collect

To make the app function, we collect and process the following types of information:

A. Activity & Game Data (The "Garden" Data)

To maintain your progress, we store:

• Focus Stats: Duration of focus sessions, dates, and times.
• Game Assets: The state of your virtual garden (plants grown, seeds collected, unlocked items, and currency).
• Usage Data: Which features you use most (e.g., "Timer" vs. "Garden").

B. Device & Technical Information

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

• Device Details: Model (e.g., iPhone 14), iOS version, and language settings.
• Crash Logs: Anonymous reports if the app crashes so we can fix bugs.
• Identifiers: A random, anonymous User ID to allow us to sync your data to the cloud (if you are signed in).

C. Apple HealthKit (Mindful Minutes)

If you grant us permission, we may write data to the Apple Health app. specifically "Mindful Minutes."

The Rule: We only write data (adding your focus time to Health). We do not read or analyze your other private health records.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use this data strictly for:

• Game State: Ensuring your plants don't disappear when you close the app.
• Analytics: Understanding how users interact with the app to improve the design (e.g., "Is the timer button too small?").
• Syncing: If you create an account, we use your data to sync your progress across multiple devices (e.g., iPad and iPhone).

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to help us run the app. We do not control these services, but we choose them carefully.

• Apple iCloud: If you use iCloud backup, your game data is stored on Apple's servers.
• Firebase / Analytics (Google): We may use these tools to process anonymous usage data and crash reporting.
• RevenueCat (or similar): Used to validate subscription receipts. We do not see your credit card information; Apple processes all payments.

5. Where Your Data Lives

• Local Storage: Most immediate game data is stored directly on your device.
• Cloud Storage: To prevent data loss (if you lose your phone), we may store a backup of your Garden and Stats on secure cloud servers associated with your account ID.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention: We keep your data as long as you use the app.

Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data.

You can usually trigger this inside the app via Settings > Delete Account.

Alternatively, email us at contact@biblefocus.io, and we will manually wipe your data from our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is safe for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information (PII) from children under 13 without parental consent. If we discover we have collected PII from a child, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app grows (e.g., if we add social features). If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app.
